I was trying to photograph a spider in my garden today, when the/a baby gecko living in my garden (have seen it a few times) caught my eyes instead.

It snuck out of the mouth of the figure of my dad's bonsai thingy

Such a cute little thing =D

I recently retired the Canon S5IS which I’ve been shooting with for about two years. Many of the shots I took for this blog – especially those extremely close-up shots – were taken with the S5, with a Raynox macro-converter attached.
However, I find that I’ve outgrown the S5 as a photographer. So, I went camera shopping, and decided upon the Panasonic FZ-100 as a substitute. These are some sample shots taken with the FZ-100, also with the macro converter attached.

There is this mated pair of sunbirds (olive-backed sunbirds, I suspect) which ALWAYS come to my house every morning and evening without fail, to drink nectar from my dad’s bonsai flowers.
I finally managed to remember to be there today evening, and shot some pictures of one of them.

The tiny claws! =3

Picture is noisy because I went into digital zoom on my Canon S5.

Same issue with the noise.

My two star phlox plants have been forming flower buds in preparation for the (hopefully) burst of colors that is so typical of this species. I can’t wait.

Okay, this is a bit of a bad photography, but I’m too excited that my raspberry plant has flowered and some of the flowers have formed into tiny berries that I’m going what the heck and just posting these up anyway. =3

One of the four of my rudbeckia flowers on one plant has started to turn brown and wilt over a week ago. But it was only these few days that the stalk started to turn brown and wilt too. I think that this signified that the flowerhead has matured, and that the seeds can be harvested.
I sure hope that I’ve harvested the right things at the right time. I should try to sow a few seeds to see if they’re viable or not.
If any readers can tell me if they think those are really seeds, I’d be most appreciative.

I saw this at a nursery and just had to get it. I have no exact scientific name for it though. Just hope my dad doesn’t kill it (again).
